The judging panel of top ITV show the X Factor have announced that they bring out individual perfumes just in time for Christmas. Another money maker for Simon Cowell as reports have suggested that the judges will be getting £250,000 in advance and also a percentage of the sales. The question on everyones lips is are these perfumes really going to be any good?
There is definitely a lot of variety in popularity between the 4 judges; I can see a lot of appeal for Chery Cole’s perfume however Im not sure of the age group who would buy Louis’s. Every perfume shop across the UK is going to want to have these perfumes as obviously they are all now national icons and also have millions of people watching them every weekend which certainly help build the hype and create quite a buzz when the perfumes are finally released.
It has been reported that each judge will have access to formulas that have already been produced and will then be given the chance to tweak them to meet their tastes. There’s already been much press over the two girl X Factor judges and their relationship however this is surly going to spark questions over whose will be the best seller. Womens perfume is a huge market especially at Christmas and Im sure what the scent these will big the Christmas sellers just down to how popular the show is. This might even be launching platform for future perfume campaigns, Im sure Cheryl Cole will be approached to launch her own perfume in the future.
Sales of the big brand perfumes I think are going to take hit this Christmas with people tempted to buy these one off perfumes by their favourite stars instead of their usual brand. We will all now have to see what these stars will come up with.
